The Expectedly Unexpected Girl on the Train

Few travels are memories for your entire life. One such would be the journey that I had on 14th of Oct, 2018. I just love to travel by train and if it is in the Indian railways its awesome, you get to explore different behavioural patterns of the people around you and their culture, but you have to observe and keep your sensory organs active all the time. This is why I like to travel by train. Usually the train does not have a record of coming and leaving on time. Thus it was again a wait for 2 hrs extra for me and my sweet dad who stood with me waiting for the train (He usually comes to drop me at the station). And just as my eyes searched around for any know faces I found one I knew in the right corner of the platform from where I stood. A very familiar face and someone I knew stood with patience in her eyes(attractive). It was just a fraction few seconds that the train announcement was made by the same old lady. I was in S4 Coach and just rushed in to keep my luggage and come back to talk to my dad till the train starts its journey. I got 5 mins to bid adieu to my dad gave him a hug and as the train started with its huge metallic wheels rolling I jumped in and captured my seat.

I had a friend of mine to get in from Thrissur and I had already informed her about the latency issue the train is facing currently. She made her travel arrangements accordingly. The train reached tripunithura station(most silent station on the way to Chennai), by this time I made a friendly connection with the family in my compartment. The old man in his sixties, his wife and his two daughters were the others in my compartment. He told me about his profession and briefed about the history about how he came for his son's marriage and were going back. As the train moved on and was nearing the next station people in my compartment started moving out.  It was one of the major stations on the way ernakulam station, most people boarded their trains from here. And you can image what would have happened. All the vacant seats in my coach filled with human beings. The time was around 8:00 pm when it felt the station. Just after two stations angamaly and aluva I got a call from my friend who will be boarding from thrissur that "can you please go to S5 coach, Anjali has lost her phone" at first there was a communication gap and my ears could not hear register what my friend told me, but slowly it did receive the information. I kept my phone and straight away went to S5 coach.

Reaching S5 Coach I could see the entire crowd including police(two constables), TTE and other people around the different compartments. I just squeezed myself through the crowd i had in front of me. Managing myself through this, I could see a girl with her eyes filled with tears and just blank in her mind puzzled with everything around her. She wore a white dress like an angel with dotted blues. She looked at me with tears still on her eyes. She has lost her phone and that was not just a phone to her, it was something emotionally attached to her, something her dad gave her. She got some relief after seeing me ( I hope so). and gathered her strength and know the police called her to give out the informations regarding her phone and how it was lost. After mentioning about the culprit who could have taken her phone, they made the people to be vigilant about their things.

By the time everyone left my friend from Thrissur boarded the train and after keeping her luggage on her seat came to S5 coach where we were still there consoling her. My friend, me and Jessy( the girl who was with Angali) along with Angali sat then she started describing the entire story of what exactly happened. Finally we came into a conclusion that the person who sat opposite to her (who might have got down at Angamali or Aluva) might have taken her phone. Angali thinks and still thinks that he might have been a tantric or mantravadhi and he might have taken the phone by magic. I got to know her more and how delicate she was. She was saying the same things over and over again. Slowly her sorrow mood was changed into enjoyment and entertainment. We started cracking jokes on her. My ultimate aim was to change her mood. She doubted everyone on her compartment. She had her special doubts on the old man sitting next to her saying " Puli ano ine ende phone eduthe " , and that poor old man in his sixties looked even tired to take the phone and run, this thought made me laugh inside. In between this Angali took us (me and Jessy) for a tour to find out whether we can find the tantric who took her phone. We started from S5 and searched till S13 to find the person in white shirt. Thou we knew it was not possible to find the person, it was for her satisfaction we did go for a search.

As time passed Angali started forgetting things and her tension now reduced but, still had fear to call her dad, she called her mom and sister and informed them about the phone loss. Angali was homely, cute and sweet too. Me and my friend sat with her till she went for sleep. I knew she could not sleep but we wanted her to and we knew it could help her at that particular point of time...

Mysteries in life are things that are meant to happen and the only question is did you find it out or not, so don't run away from mysteries just face it. Angali is normal again after she bought her new phone and happy to see her selfies back again on her phone....
